The price of gas just keeps on soaring high anywhere in the world. Every time I would see on TV any news about
oil price hike, I can't help but to feel guilty in using my car or my motor bike. I think it would be very economical for all of us to start using bicycles.
Although mopeds, gas or
electric scooters, and motorcycles are a lot easier on the gas bill than the most economical gas burning vehicle (FYI: Mileage can be up to 10 times better than an automobile), I still prefer bicycles since it has zero pollution and I get to exercise my legs. In Asia, particularly in Singapore and Vietnam, bicycles are very popular even to those who go to the office everyday. Being a small vehicle, it can pass through heavy traffic jams and will cut your commuting time by half.
It is also advisable to walk whenever it is possible, not just between stores, but from home to a store, bank, or wherever you go. You can start with shorter trips, then work on making them longer. Human beings are made to walk and it will definitely address not only the growing problem in gas, but will help
full-figured individuals.
